Barton and Megan Cutter are excited about applying for the North Carolina Arts Council Touring Artist Directory. Below you will find information about our workshops, performances, residencies and mentoring.
Reality Ministries Center
Megan Cutter was involved with a community based residency through Reality Ministries Center. She taught creative expression- storytelling, writing and visual arts to 30 youth attending Reality Ministries Center Summer Day Camp for youth and adults with disabilities in 2010 and 2011. In addition, she taught creative expression for the pilot Reality Ministries Center Day Program in the spring of 2011.

Barton and Megan have spoken at numerous events locally and nationally. Events that highlight the literary arts include:

Literary Community Events- Open Mic Nights
Megan Cutter was an assistant organizer for the NCWN Open Mic Nights from 2009-2011. She also assisted in the Author's Spotlight event in 2010 and has organized several fully inclusive Open Mic events in the Triangle.

Curriculum Development for Youth Leadership and Inclusion
Barton Cutter developed a youth leadership curriculum for young people with disabilities interested in post-secondary and gaining employment.

Mentorship
Both Barton and Megan Cutter provide individual and group mentorship to aspiring writers and young people with disabilities. Megan has used a variety of communication tools including visual aide cards or augmentative devices. Barton uses a variety of approaches including coaching and experiential learning to help young people find greater independence.
